Mid-year freak out tag 2019

Mid-year book freak out tag 2019

Hey bookworms! I decided to do the mid-year book freak out tag. This is the first book tag I’ve done on my blog, but it seemed like fun, so I had to try it!

Question 1: The best book you’ve read so far in 2019

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It’s definitely worth all the hype and I recommend you read it! I managed to get my hands on a copy at the June 2019 Bargain Books Warehouse sale.

Question 2: Your favourite sequel of the year

Gemini by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. After reading Illuminae, I just HAD to read Gemina. Do I regret it? No

Question 3: A new release that you haven’t read but really want to

Finale by Stephanie Garber. Caraval is one of my all-time favourite books, so it’s only expected that I read Finale.

Question 4: Most anticipated release for the second half of the year

The World of Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. It was originally going to be published in 2018 but the release date was pushed back to 2019 and I can’t wait to read it!

Question 5: Your biggest disappointment

The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr. The synopsis sounded really intriguing, but unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the book.

Question 6: Biggest surprise of the year

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.

Question 7: Favourite new to you or debut author

Alexandra Christo. I have loved her writing, ever since I read To Kill a Kingdom recently.

Question 8: New fictional crush

I read Queen of Shadows so it’s obviously ROWAN WHITETHORN.

Question 9: New favourite character

Cath from Fangirl. I mean… what’s not to love about her???

Question 10: A book that made you cry

The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J Maas. *sniffle sniffle*

Question 11: A book that made you happy

Dreamology by Lucy Keating. It was such a fun and easy read.

Question 12: Your favourite book to movie adaptation you’ve seen this year

The Sun is also a star. I loved the movie. 😊

Question 13: Favourite book post you’ve done this year

My March Bargain Books warehouse sale haul. I love posting about the books I bought to see if anyone sees their favourites among the bunch.

Question 14: The most beautiful book you have bought/received this year

Queen of Air and Darkness! I absolutely loved the cover designed by Evie Seo for the Magic and Mischief book box. I also love the King of Scars cover!

Question 15: What are some books you need to read by the end of the year

I need to finish the Throne of Glass and the Mortal Instruments series’. I also definitely want to read Renegades, Wicked like a Wildfire and The Smoke Thieves.

These are all the books
Cassandra Clare
My favourite book cover

Those are all the questions! I really enjoyed doing this tag and I tag anyone who wants to do it!

 Till next time

 Jenna xoxo
